Web Design in Essex

We build websites for Essex trades, home improvement firms and professional services that want local customers to find them and ring. Each site is planned around the towns you actually cover.

Websites That Win Local Work

Customers across Essex search for a local business, open its website and decide in seconds whether to get in touch.

Charge What You're Worth

A website that looks as good as your work lets you price properly and win clients who value quality over the cheapest quote.

More Quality Enquiries

By building around your services and the towns you cover, we help you win enquiries from the people you actually want to work for.

Room to Grow

New services, new towns and new team members slot straight into the site as your business grows.

Web Design Across Essex

Essex covers a lot of ground, with Harlow and Loughton out west, Chelmsford and Brentwood along the A12 and Colchester, Southend and the coast further east. Customers in each of them search by their own town, not by the county.

A firm covering Chelmsford and one covering Loughton end up with very different websites. We plan yours around the places you really work.

Our Recent Websites

Here's some of our recent work across our trade and home improvement business clients. Every site is built to rank locally and turn visitors into enquiries.

What Your Website Includes

Every website we build for an Essex business is planned, written, designed and built by our own team, with the local SEO foundations in place from day one.

Planned Around Your Area

We look at what customers in Essex and the towns you cover actually search for before we build, then create pages for the services and places with real demand.

Each service you offer gets its own page, written around what your customers ask before they get in touch. Google then has one clear page to show for each service.

Your number, your hours and your enquiry form stay one tap away for local customers who find you on their phone.

Your Google reviews and photos of real jobs sit on the pages they support. Visitors can see the work before they ring.

Every site launches with structured data, a connected Google Business Profile and clean page titles that tell Google what you do and where. If you want to grow from there, SEO in Essex picks up where the build leaves off.

We host and look after every site we build, with daily backups, security monitoring and updates handled by the same team. See hosting & maintenance.

If you’d like every enquiry in one place and follow-ups that send themselves, we can set up a CRM alongside your website. See CRM setup.

Our Web Design Process

We don't like to leave things to chance which is why we follow a 4-step process that keeps your website delivered on time, strictly to brief and engineered for results from day one.

1. Discovery and Planning

We gather all your assets and conduct a full audit of your current online presence. We plan the site structure, map out the required pages and agree on the design direction before we start building. For an Essex business, that means the towns you cover, how far you’ll travel and the work you want more of.

We build your site on a private domain to ensure zero downtime to your business operations. We write the copy, build the bespoke layouts and keep you updated throughout. You have plenty of opportunity to review the work and request revisions to ensure it’s exactly what you want. Local customers want to see who they’re hiring. We’ll ask for photos of your real jobs, your vans and your team.

Before anyone else sees the site, we run it through our internal testing protocols. We test all contact forms, optimise performance, ensure cross-browser compatibility and verify that all SEO foundations and functionality is operating as intended. That includes every tap-to-call button and quote form on a phone. Plenty of local enquiries start there.

We handle the technical complexities of going live. We connect your Google Search Console, submit your new sitemaps and ensure a flawless, zero-downtime migration from your old site so you don’t lose a single visitor or email during the switch. We also connect your Google Business Profile to the new site on launch day.

Who You'll Work With

KK Digital is a family-run agency that Katie founded in 2017, with Will leading the web development and SEO. The people you speak to are the people doing the work, and you'll have the same point of contact before, during and after launch.

What It Costs

We don't use rigid pricing tiers. Our bespoke builds range between £1,500 and £15,000 depending on scope, and we run a proper discovery phase first so you get a clear, fixed-price proposal.

Who Owns the Website

Once everything's paid, the finished website is yours.

What Our Clients Say

Essex Web Design FAQs

How much does a website cost for an Essex business?

Websites from us cost between £1,500 and £15,000. A firm working across several Essex towns usually needs more pages than one working in a single town. We set a fixed price once the discovery call has pinned that down. Tell us which Essex towns you cover and we’ll price it.

All of it, whether that’s west Essex along the M11, the A12 towns or the coast. Each site is planned around the towns its customers live in.

Every project runs on the phone, by email and through a private preview link. It works the same in Southend or Saffron Walden as it does in Harlow.

Most sites are ready in three to six weeks. The size of the build and how quickly you send photos and details make the difference. We agree the launch date at the start.

Yes. We’ll keep anything on your current site that’s earning its place and build the new one on a private link. Your old site stays live until we switch over.

The two of us, directly. KK Digital has been running since 2017 with the same two people. You’ll always speak to the people building your site.
