Web Design for Tradesmen

We design, write and build websites for tradesmen, sole traders and trade firms across the UK, with the SEO foundations, tracking and hosting handled by the same team that builds it.

Our trade web design service builds your website around the work you want more of, whether that's repairs, installs or bigger projects in the towns you cover. Every service gets its own page, your number is one tap away on a phone and the whole site is set up so Google knows what you do and where.

A Website That Wins Work

Customers judge your business by its website before they ever pick up the phone. If it looks cheap or out of date, they'll assume the work is too and ring the next firm on the list.

Charge What You're Worth

A website that looks as professional as your work lets you quote with confidence and win the customers who care about a proper job more than the cheapest price.

Get the Jobs You Want

Building the site around the work you want more of means the bigger jobs get pages that bring in their own enquiries rather than tyre-kickers.

Room to Grow

The website keeps up as the business grows. New services, new towns and new vans slot straight in without starting again.

Our Recent Websites

Here's some of our recent work across our trade and home improvement business clients. Every site is built to rank locally and turn visitors into enquiries.

What's in a Trade Website

Every trade website we build is put together to a strict standard so that it's secure, visible and ready to scale. Here's what's included under the hood of every project.

  • Your phone number sits in the header of every page and taps to call on a mobile
  • Each trade or service you offer gets its own page, written around what customers ask
  • Your accreditations, insurance and trade memberships are shown where customers look
  • Location pages for the towns with real search demand, with the rest listed so customers know you cover them
  • Real photos of your jobs, with your Google reviews beside them
  • Enquiry tracking from day one that shows which page produced the call

Made for Phones First

A lot of trade enquiries start on a mobile, often from someone stood looking at the problem. We design the phone view first, with your number in the header and a quote form short enough to fill in with one thumb. If you take emergency call-outs, they get a page with your hours and coverage.

If you’re a builder who also does roofing, or a carpenter who fits kitchens, each of those gets its own page written around what customers ask before they book. A customer after a new kitchen lands on kitchens, rather than a page listing everything you’ve ever done.

TrustMark, your trade body, your public liability cover and any manufacturer approvals sit next to your reviews because that’s where people look for reassurance. Before launch we’ll ask you to confirm each one and that you’re allowed to use the logos.

We research the towns you cover before we build and create location pages for the areas with genuine search demand. The rest are listed clearly so customers know you’ll come out to them. We also wire in your Google Business Profile, your reviews and Schema markup so Google understands exactly what you do and where you do it.

Before and after photos from your own jobs say more than any stock image. We put them on the pages they belong to. A visitor reading about fencing sees your fencing.

Speed and security are non-negotiable. We optimise all media into modern WebP formats, output clean code so your pages load rapidly and set up enquiry tracking so that you can see which pages are bringing in calls and forms.

Our Web Design Process

We don't like to leave things to chance which is why we follow a 4-step process that keeps your website delivered on time, strictly to brief and engineered for results from day one.

1. Discovery and Planning

We gather all your assets and conduct a full audit of your current online presence. We plan the site structure, map out the required pages and agree on the design direction before we start building. We’ll also ask which jobs pay you best, how far you’re happy to drive and whether you’d rather get calls or forms.

We build your site on a private domain to ensure zero downtime to your business operations. We write the copy, build the bespoke layouts and keep you updated throughout. You have plenty of opportunity to review the work and request revisions to ensure it’s exactly what you want. Send us phone photos of finished jobs, your van and your team. We’ll pick the best for each page.

Before anyone else sees the site, we run it through our internal testing protocols. We test all contact forms, optimise performance, ensure cross-browser compatibility and verify that all SEO foundations and functionality is operating as intended. Every call button gets pressed and every quote form sent on a real phone before we’re happy.

We handle the technical complexities of going live. We connect your Google Search Console, submit your new sitemaps and ensure a flawless, zero-downtime migration from your old site so you don’t lose a single visitor or email during the switch. We also connect your Google Business Profile to the new site on launch day.

Who You'll Work With

KK Digital is a family-run agency that Katie founded in 2017, with Will leading the web development and SEO. The people you speak to are the people doing the work, and you'll have the same point of contact before, during and after launch.

What It Costs

We don't use rigid pricing tiers. Our bespoke builds range between £1,500 and £15,000 depending on scope, and we run a proper discovery phase first so you get a clear, fixed-price proposal.

Who Owns the Website

Once everything's paid, the finished website is yours.

What Our Clients Say

Trade Web Design FAQs

How much does a website for a tradesman cost?

We don’t use rigid pricing tiers because every trade business has different requirements. Our bespoke website builds range between £1,500 and £15,000, depending on how many services and towns you need and extras like a quote calculator. We conduct a proper discovery phase first so we can provide a clear, fixed-price proposal. Ask us for a quote.

Most of our builds take three to six weeks. How quickly you can send your photos, accreditations and service details decides where you land in that. Because we work in clear phases, we stick to the agreed launch date once you’ve sent everything we need. You’ll see the whole site on a private link before it goes live.

No credible agency can promise a specific position. What we do is build every trade website with the on-page, technical and local SEO foundations in place, including a page for each service, location pages for the areas you cover, structured data and a connected Google Business Profile. If you want to grow your visibility after launch, our SEO for tradesmen service picks up where the build leaves off.

Yes. When you’re on the tools all day you can’t answer every call. A website that answers the common questions and takes quote requests keeps work coming in while you’re up a ladder.

We write conversion-focused copy for every page using your existing content, the information you give us during onboarding and our own research into your services and competitors. For imagery, we’ll ask you for genuine photos of your work, your team and your vans because customers want to see the people who’ll turn up.

Yes. A new service or a new town is a new page on the same site. Growing never means starting again. When you need one, we quote it as a small job on its own.

No. We build for trade businesses all over the UK, with one project folder and a group chat throughout. Our recent work is on our projects page.
