Overview
Drummond Security is a trusted domestic and auto locksmith service with two physical locations in Potters Bar and Knebworth.
As an emergency-focused service, their goal was to ensure local customers could find the right branch and make contact instantly, especially when in urgent need.
The Challenge
The existing website was not mobile-friendly, which was a critical failure for a locksmith service where customers are often locked out and using their phones to find help.
There was also significant confusion between their two locations, as the old site didn’t clearly separate the contact details or service areas for each shop, leading to misrouted enquiries.
What We Did
We designed a mobile-first website focused on local clarity and rapid contact.
- Mobile-First Architecture: Prioritised speed and usability on mobile devices to cater to customers in emergency situations.
- Location-Specific Structure: Built a dedicated “Locations” section that clearly separates the two branches, ensuring enquiries are routed correctly from the start.
- Local SEO Strategy: Optimised the site to support search visibility for each specific service area (Potters Bar & Knebworth).
- Conversion UI: Placed prominent, easy-to-use contact buttons to minimise the time from landing on the site to making a call.
The Outcome
The new site has provided a professional face for the business while solving long-standing operational issues.
- Improved Accessibility: A seamless mobile experience for customers in urgent need.
- Operational Clarity: Reduced confusion between branches, helping customers reach the correct location immediately.
- Local Authority: A stronger search presence in their core service areas through location-focused SEO.
